Never wanna approach my pc again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strengths: umm...popular...i guess

Weakness: Too risky to use. You can install XP on only one machine; piddling discounts for additional PC licenses; nags you to sign up for Passport Web account; multiple-user login screens are often redundant; heavy system requirements.

Windows has way to many errors. Viruses and spyware penetrate very easily, and most dont want to spend money and time on anti-virus programs. My best suggestion is to install linux, or any other OS. better yet get a mac. XP is a worthwhile upgrade from 95/98 or Windows 2000. Great software

Strengths: Cheaper than XP pro Still great OS

Weakness: Less networking capability than XP pro

Easy upgrade

Strengths: Installs fine

Weakness: N/A

I would always recommend doing a fresh install (meaning wiping out everything and reinstalling Windows fresh) as it improves performance. XP is a good OS and even with Vista coming out I'd give it at least six months for everything to be compatible with Vista.

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition w/ SP2

Strengths: Big improvement over windows 98; true multi-tasking OS

Weakness: Rather high priced. I hate the product activation. They treat you like a thief even if you own the product.

Unlike windows 98, which might crash several times a day, Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition w/ SP2 is more stable. Service Pack 2 has a firewall, which makes it more secure.
