VMWare Fusion is a powerful application that allows you virtualize another computer on your Intel Mac. For most of us, that means running Windows (in my case, XP, which works great). But this could also mean a variety of flavors of Linux, too, especially through the dozens of Virtual Appliances available for download at vmware.com.

The built in support for dual core processors is what caused me to switch from Parallels. Easy to setup and use. The ability to download pre-built OS installs is ideal for trying various operating systems. I have used multiple different VM products for the Mac and so far this looks like it has the most features.
Strengths: Fast (for windows) and has an easy to use interface.

I've been using VMWare fusion for about 2 weeks and it does everything i need it to do. It's a must for people who want to make the switch to mac but also have some non mac programs/software they still want to be able to use.
Strengths: Easy to install, It works well with vasta installed in bootcamp partition.
Weakness: Common bugs for first release software, Video and sound driver malfunction.

Strengths: combines Win and Mac on one machine

This is a good piece of software that I actually liked better than a similar product from Parallels. This one supports dual processors and comes from the market leader of virtualization products. It does have some growing pains; for instance, the sound didn't work on Windows Vista at first, so I had to remove sound option from the settings and to add it again - then it worked.
Strengths: Easy to install. Works seamlessly...never crashes. Very easy to learn how to use
Weakness: None that I can think of.
VMware Fusion is an incredible product that has actually exceeded my expectations. I have it installed on Mac OS X Tiger and running Windows XP SP2. The transition between both programs is almost simultaneously. I have been able to install all of my windows programs on my Mac including Office 2007, Zune software, and other programs written for Windows only. In addition, you can completely shutdown

Weakness: Abysmal documentation. Pretty much limited to business productivity software. No support for non-corporate users.
While very good for running MS Office, Open Office, etc., programs requiring greater video capability and multi-processor support is a very mixed bag.
