Upgrade Information: Not Applicable
Software Main Type: Productivity Application
Strengths: Great Product specially the junk email cathcing in the Outlook. It caught over 95% of the junk mail. Hotmail accounts can be added easily. Tranferring information from outlook express was very easy.
Weakness: Outlook sometimes "forgets" the email addresses in the Safe list and those email addresses have to be added again. No way to tranfer rules made in previous versions of Outlook & Oulook express
Tranferring emails, addresses, contacts, calendar, tasks were very easy and are done automatically from Outlook 97 that I was running on my machine. It was tedious to rewrite all the rules that I had set up in Outlook 97. Copy and paste feature from other MS office application were very easy. I made some graphics in MS visio 2000 and was able to paste them easily into MS Word. Excel and Access...
Strengths: The integration, power, and ease of use of the Office Pro 2003 Academic Edition makes it a logical choice for any home office or small business. You only get the disks(4) with the key code.
Weakness: Microsoft charges for the support should you need it, but most questions/problems can be addressed through the FAQs or Knowledge Base. The Academic Edition only allows for installation on 1 computer.
I got a great deal on the MS Office Pro Academic Suite through PriceGrabber! The installation was flawless and a couple of technical issues were solved by searching for and reading the Knowledge Base articles. Although there is limited installation, the price of of this Academic Edition would allow you to buy two for probably less than a single upgrade; just make sure that you pay attention to...
Strengths: Great office type software. General ease of use.
Weakness: None that I see yet.
A fantastic product for students that are writing research papers or students in the accounting field. The new features and styles of this version are far better then the 2000 edition.
Strengths: Very good, well-thought out program.
I first purchased the microsoft office professional academic version for microsoft publisher. However, I have found the versions of word to be very helpful also. In addition, the program runs very smoothly, too. Very helpful. Also, got a great price from pricegrabber.com!
Great product. Competitive pricing thanks to the academic discount. A must have office suite thanks to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 2003. The Outlook 2003 is definitely worth the upgrade
Strengths: Intuitive interface, well thought out -- better features than Office 2000. Certainly far less crash-prone than previous editions of Office.
Weakness: Typical Microsoft tendency to be TOO intuitive and automatically make undesired/unnecessary format changes to data or documents. I really wish one could turn off many of the AutoFormat functions.
I'm very pleased with this edition -- no more than minor issues, and certainly none of the reliability/stability problems that were virtually synonymous with the words "Microsoft Office."
Strengths: outlook 2003 is a much needed upgrade
This product has been a long time coming for our company. We use outlook everyday and need to be more efficient with our time.
Strengths: MS Office 2003 is an excellent all inclusive software program with even better pricing for academics. Get it today at this price and save yourself over $150 off regular retail.
Weakness: None
Highly recommend especially at the academic price. I have not had any problems and I like the new Outlook junk mail controls. MS Office 2003 is an excellent all inclusive software program with even better pricing for academics. Get it today at this price and save yourself over $150 off regular retail.
Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Edition
Strengths: Very Easy To Load
Weakness: None Found Yet
The software is just as described--no surprises. The fonts are better than my older version and the improvement in the features is great! I found it very easy to move through each program.
