Backup on your own terms
Strengths: Easy to use interface to transfer files from one hard drive to another. Only copies newer files. Easy to restore a single file with a simple copy action.
Weakness: Lack of support and no new version of the Gold series
I've used Laplink products since the 5 1/4" floppy days and always liked to do my own backup on my own schedule. The Gold series allows transfers between 2 hard drives mounted inside or outside of the machine, which is not true for the new Laplink PCsync series, which does not recognize a second internal drive. I bought PCsync but abandon it and re-installed my older Laplink gold 11. Now I can...
