Nice Software Package
Strengths: Easy installation, video tutorials,
Weakness: Difficult to change existing designs
This software package was very helpful in designing our bathroom remodel. It was simple to install, and has run on Windows XP just fine so far. It has video tutorials to explain basic processes, which makes it easy for beginners (like myself) to use it. Overall a simple program for home design novices who want to put together a basic plan without confusing customization.
Chief Architect Better Homes & Gardens Home Designer...
Strengths: fast 3d
Weakness: useless for international use
It's unbelievable but you cannot set metric dimensions in this program. Apart from that the common european 'house in a row' is difficult or impossible to design. Common constructions like double brick walls - not there. Uneven roof types: no. Standard house construction: wooden poles. Don't let me laugh. The only funny thing of this product is that it creates 3d images fast.
