Strengths: Good graphics. Ability to zoom in at better quality than before. Ability to play with characters from the Sims. Original and expansion in one package.
Weakness: Annoying bugs that require patching.
SimCity 4 improved quite a lot from the previous games of the SimCity franchise. The game uses 3D engine to deliver better graphics than previous games. The buildings look more realistic and have better shadows, the people and vehicles also looks better. It is possible to zoom in at the city and have a better look at the people, vehicles, buildings and such, than the previous games. Custom...
Strengths: The best graphics to date in the Sim City series. The simulation feels even closer to reality than previous versions, and with more possibilities and choices to make.
Weakness: It can take a very long time to develop a thriving city and requires a lot of micromanagement.
If you liked previous versions of Sim City, I believe you can enjoy this one, too. Just be ready to dedicate long hours to playing it in order to grow desirable cities.
Strengths: LOTS OF OPTIONS TO WORK ARROUND
Weakness: BUILDING DESIGNS NEED MORE OPTIONS, INDUSTRY OPTIONS TOO, GAME CAN BECOME TO LONG, BE READY FOR SOME LONG HOURS...WHICH MANY OF US JUST CAN'T AFFORD!!
FABULOUS!!! SO MUCH THAT I HAD TO THROW IT AWAY (B/C HIDDING IT JUST WASN'T HELPING IT) TO FOCUS IN COLLEGE... AND YET FOUND MY WAY BACK TO THE STORES TO PURCHASE IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. (STRORES) = MORE THAN ONE TILL I COULD FIND IT. A REAL ADDICTION...PLAY IT A YOUR OWN RISK...

I have a confession to make: I've never played a Sim City game before (unless you count the kiddie version Sim Town). I know, I know, where on earth have I been? And what is really strange is the fact that I absolutely adore all the City Building games from Impressions Games and Sierra. For some reason, Sim City has always looked too modern for my blood. But when this newest deluxe version showed...

A true classic
Strengths: Detailed graphics; tons of options and controls; different gameplay modes
Weakness: 3D views limited to 4 angles - makes some lots on hills hard to see; no Godzilla-monster like previous versions
SimCity has come a long way over the years. This latest version brings updates the graphics and gameplay to what you'd expect from a modern computer game - it almost feels like a real city at times. I was really impressed by the sheer amount of control that it gives the player. This is a great game for all ages and has different levels of difficulty, for beginners who just want to get a city...
